Review of 'I Funny!'

I read 'I Funny' some time before. It is a 306 paged book beautifully illustrated by Laura Park and written by James Patterson.

This story is set in New York.  It is about a handicapped funny boy, who is ironically named Jamie Grimm. He is one of the best comedians of the city.. But is afraid to display his talent in front of a crowd. So when, one day his favorite uncle, suggests him he try out for a comedy competiton, Jamie just about laughs out loud. But the more Jamie thinks about it, the more he wants to go for it. But, like many first-time performers he's got stage fright. The question is does he go for it? More over does he go and win?

With middle school humor and it's bit of emotional scenes, this book is a funny, touching story of a stong-willed boy, who makes the world laugh with him.

I loved this book.. Not only because of its humor, but also because of how wonderfully the author depicts the scenes. This book not only touches the heart, but also shows how to look at the funny side of things. It teaches us how to accept life as it comes, and appreciate what we have. If I am to recommend this book, I would do so to all Middle-Schoolers, boys as well as girls.

There is a sequel to this book available too. Its called: I Even Funnier. So, people who want more.. You know what to find! Enjoy!
